AN INTERESTING DIALOG BY JESUS CHRIST

An Interesting Dialog by Jesus Christ

(concerning)

His Cousin John

The below verses are so totally misunderstood by today's phony ministers, that they cannot discern or grasp any real truth when they preach on these verses. There's nothing within these verses that even hints that John doubted Jesus was the True Messiah. Most preachers cannot see through the eyes of John the Baptist because they want to and desire that YOU see through their eyes in relation to the scripture. When John the Baptist saw Jesus coming to him at the Jordon for baptism, IT WAS NOT, the first time John had ever seen Jesus. These two men had grown up from childhood even though somewhat separately, they still knew each other and John had been taught by Elizabeth his mother exactly who Jesus was. This is why John could say the day of Jesus' baptism: Joh 1:29 (b) Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

John the Baptist in (NO WAY) doubted the person or the mission of Jesus as your fake ministers would have you believe from their inability to discern truth from the below verses of the recorded words of Jesus. Let's break them down with my emphasis in brackets [ ] in BOLD ITALICS embedded within the verses.

Messengers from John the Baptist

JOHN is in prison because of his rebuking of Herodias, king Herod's wife because it was an illegal marriage to the x-wife of his brother.

THE RECORD!

Mat 11:1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.

[To teach and to preach here is also my goal with God's help to YOU, as your preachers are walking in darkness and they attempt to proclaim the light.]

Mat 11:2 Now when [In Prison] John had heard [John had already HEARD] in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples. [QUESTION: If John had already heard of the works of Jesus Christ "while in the prison" why did he feel the need to send two of his followers i.e. disciples to question Jesus? Was it because of a lack of faith in John as you're ministers would have you believe, that John's faith was faltering under pressure and confinement?] ABSOLUTELY NOT! So then, what was John's motivation for sending them to Jesus? READ ON.]

Mat 11:3 And [These two disciples of John the Baptist] said unto him, [JESUS] Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another? [TAKE NOTE HERE: It was these "two disciples" of John that proposed the question to Jesus, NOT John himself even though that may have been the instructions given them by John. Does this then imply that John may have had doubts as to just whom Jesus was? ABSOLUTELY NOT! READ ON!]

Mat 11:4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew [Go and SHOW] John again [Which implies that John already had the knowledge of who Jesus really was. How then were these two disciples going to "show" or again reveal to John AGAIN?] those things which ye do hear and see: [Herein lies the answer! It was what these two disciples had HEARD and SAW of the work of Jesus that day that they would then "shew" or make known again to John who was behind bars in prison. The word Jesus used "shew" or "show" means to "make known", not to do the same work of Jesus before John's eyes.]

The WORKS of JESUS

Mat 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Mat 11:6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me. [After specifying His works to both the disciples of John, did the statement to those two disciples of John of "blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me" in any way imply that John the Baptist in prison was offended by Jesus or that he doubted Jesus? ABSOLUTELY NOT!]

Mat 11:7 And as they [the two disciples of John] departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes [After these two disciples of John had left] concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?

[Jesus is now drawing the attention away from Himself in the minds of the hearers to that of His cousin John the Baptist. He has an important truth to convey to those who may have been given the wrong impression about John by the coming of his disciples with the question "Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?" Jesus understood John's question through his disciples, yet today most modern ministers, pastors, preachers, and bible teachers still don't GET IT even to this day. What really was John's question for Jesus? Was it about Jesus or was it about someone else aside from Jesus? Friends, it was about someone else other than Jesus. The question proposed to Jesus through John's disciples to Jesus had absolutely NOTHING to do with Jesus Himself, but concerned someone else. The question then remains WHO?]

WHO then was John inquiring about through his disciples sent to Jesus?

You see, John knew who he [Jesus] was, and John knew who Jesus was as testified and recorded in Joh 1:29(b) Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. However, since John in his own thinking knew as a prophet the writing of the prophets before himself, John was thoroughly versed in the last book of the Old Testament and he knew this verse. Mal 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. What John the Baptist DIDN'T KNOW was that he was the "Elias, which was for to come" verse 14 below. This was the question proposed to Jesus by the two disciples of John the Baptist. The question DID NOT appertain to Jesus Himself and is why Jesus called John His cousin "them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist."

QUESTION: Wasn't Jesus the greatest prophet ever to rise among mankind, wasn't He i.e. JESUS "the greater?"? YES ABSOLUTELY! Then what was Jesus conveying to the people in to whom He spoke? READ ON!

WHAT DID YOU GO OUT TO THE JORDON TO SEE?

Mat 11:8 But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses. [Now Jesus reveals that they all went out to "see a man" baptizing others in the Jordon River, but this man was like no other man, just as Jesus Himself was like no other man. It was "a man" in the eyes of the people i.e. the "Looky Loos" that went to see John the Prophet of the Lord.]

Mat 11:9 But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.

WHAT DID YOU GO OUT TO SEE?

Mat 11:10 For this is he, of whom it is written, [Mal 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD] Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

[Here Jesus reveals the question "proposed to Him" by the two disciples of John the Baptist. John was in NO WAY questioning Jesus Himself, but was inquiring to Jesus through his two disciples concerning the prophecy Mal 4:5. LOOK at the question proposed to the Lord AGAIN "Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?" The question proposed to Jesus can be understood had it been proposed like this: "Are you also "the one" in the prophecy of Mal 4:5 that should come, or do we look for another?

Now Jesus get SPECIFIC!

Mat 11:11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. [TAKE NOTE: Here Jesus DID NOT say"Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater (PROPHET) than John the Baptist, to do so would have been untrue as Jesus is the greatest prophet ever to be born of a woman upon the Earth. Yes John was a prophet as was Jesus also and He JESUS was and still IS God now IS in the "Glorified Human" Flesh. To prophesy means to PREACH. Both men were preachers, both men were prophets, but Jesus alone was and IS GOD!]

What did Jesus mean by this? "he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he." For the answer, one must look outside the human BOX confines. Jesus was simply saying that in the current time in which He spoke this, that John still being in the flesh and alive, still preaching his message of the Messiah, was still a living sinner upon Earth. Yet the narrative changes from Earth to Heaven i.e. the Kingdom of God in which all who are there will indeed be considered "greater than John" in his current physical condition still alive on Earth at the time Jesus spoke this phrase.

In speaking of Himself as the "Kingdom of Heaven" Jesus states the following. Both John the Baptist and Jesus spake of Jesus as the "kingdom of heaven."

JOHN SPEAKING

Mat 3:1,2 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

JESUS SPEAKING

Mat 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven [HIMSELF] is at hand. JESUS is the KINGDOM of HEAVEN!

Mat 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. [This was a prophecy of Jesus concerning His manner of death. NOT that those who took His life accepted Him or took the Kingdom of God as their own by force.]

Mat 11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

  • Mat 11:14 And if ye will receive it, [The little word "If" here implies that NOT everyone would grasp the truth about John] this [John the Baptist] is Elias, which was for to come. [Who was prophesied by Malachi the prophet.]

Now Jesus in His eloquence reveals the hearts i.e. minds of His hearers.

Mat 11:15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Mat 11:16,17 But whereunto shall I liken this generation? [How should I COMPARE YOU to previous generations?] It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows, And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented. [Sounds a little like today's church leaders and secular politicians doesn't it? A DO AS WE DO MENTALITY.]

The Comparison

Mat 11:18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, [The same way YOU do] and they say, He hath a devil.

Mat 11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, [The same way YOU do] and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

This entire discourse has absolutely nothing to do with the faith of John the Baptist faltering within him in prison. It has everything however to do with TRUTH.

  • The truth of John the Baptist
  • The TRUTH as it is in Jesus Christ.

Many of today's preachers cannot fathom the real truth. They make their own truth and then preach it to you as though it was the truth. A DO AS I DO MENTALITY!
