The Truths About Satan Christians Overlook

He is more powerful than many Christians realize. [This INCLUDES this author]

Satan is the chief opponent of God and His people. [True] He is the leader of demonic forces and thrives on tempting Christians into sin. [True] Satan is in an all-out war against the forces of good in the universe, [FALSE, Satan is in an all out war against the government of God and His Law] like Jesus Christ. [This author doesn't realize that Jesus has already WON the WAR at the cross.] We know this enemy and think we stand firmly against him - but could it be we are underestimating his power? [ABOSULETY just like the sons of Sceva] These men (sons of the High Priest) tried to exercise power and authority in the name of Jesus of which they did not have. Just because one invokes the name of Jesus against Satan doesn't mean that that one has any authority over Satan or his demons, even though they be sons of the High Priest] Act 19:13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. Act 19:14-16 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. [NOTE: The answer from the demon!] And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man [A Single individual demon possessed man against seven men] in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Having God by our side means that we can overcome anything that Satan tempts us with. [FALSE.] [Having an obedient relationship with God and then it's God who defeats Satan and his demons NOT the individual servant of God] However, Satan is more capable than we might originally think. Here are some biblical truths we need to understand if we want to beat him each day. [This lady is a surface reader of God's word and she doesn't understand herself, she only thinks she does.]

Satan mimics the Lord.

In 2 Corinthians 11:14 it says, "And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." [She obviously reads a version of the Bible other than the KJV which says: 2Co 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Satan actually changes and is transformed, he is NOT cloaked as though he put on a costume of some sort. Satan doesn't masquerade i.e. present himself in a false light. He actually is "transformed into an angel of light", there's a huge difference in being mask and being actually transformed.] Everything that God does, Satan will try and copy. [FALSE, Satan doesn't try he accomplishes the copy.] He is a great actor [Satan is NO ACTOR in anything he does] that knows how to play a role [Satan doesn't "role play at any time.] right to deceive and manipulate Christians. [Wrong again! Satan cannot deceive God's people if they truly have a "born again" experience in their lives. Therefore, his sophistries are detected by the servant of God, through the Spirit of God that dwells in them and the servant through and with God's help escapes the deception.] The images we see of a red devil with a pitchfork are not reality. [Really! I wonder when she realized it!] Instead, Satan will try to impersonate the angel of light. [WRONG, He actually becomes an angel representing light, there NO impersonating.] But inside, Christians will be able to tell there is a great darkness. [If this were true the church wouldn't be in such apostasy as it is today. So this lady is just as deceived as those in whom she thinks she is warning.] Being able to discern between the two is easier the closer you are to God's Word. [No the closer relationship you have with the personal God Himself through His word] Become so familiar with the gospel's truth that Satan will never be able to manipulate you in such a fashion! [This lady very nobviously doesn't know what she is trying to say here. Satan will deceive and manipulate ALL Christians until he is taken out of the way. If he would do it so boldly to the Son of God, he will certainly do it to you as long as you live.] You will be able to spot him as a counterfeit. [Spotting him and escaping him are two very different things as the sons of Sceva found out.]

Satan is God's opponent, not opposite.

Some people that are not familiar with the Bible think that God and Satan are separate equals, but that is not the case. Satan is not omnipresent or omnipotent like God is. [TRUE] His power has limits and he is not able to do everything he wants. [TRUE, however because of God's JUST character Satan is allowed through God's "permissive will" to exercise his supernatural power such as he did with Job. So don't think that just because his power is limited, that he can't or won't be given the power if God permits it against you to refine you as Gold tried in the fire.] He also is not omniscient, meaning he doesn't know everything. [TRUE. But then again God through His permissive will allows Satan access to YOUR MIND. Satan cannot read your mind, but he is allowed to flood your mind with thoughts and impressions, mental pictures, wrong or misplaced ideas etc.] Only God is all-knowing. [This is a tricky and misleading statement because she very obviously is a surface reader of scripture. If she would just recall the wilderness temptation of Jesus where Satan took Jesus to the high mountain and showed Jesus all the future kingdoms of the world, Satan had to have had the ability see the future and all the glory of the world's kingdoms (in order to) offer them to Jesus if Jesus would bow down and give him worship. Don't be fooled by the counsel that this lady and millions of others give you on what they think they know about he devil's abilities.] Isaiah 46:9-10 says, "Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me." [The verse she quotes here has absolutely nothing to do with Satan, but everything to do with GOD.]

Satan lies.

John 8:44 says, "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies." [Here again, she uses a NOT so correct version of scripture. The scripture actually reads in the KJV Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. [There are several misleading words in her translation, that doesn't give you the full picture of meaning. The words "desires and lusts" have two very different connotations. Example: One is capable of a desire without lust, where lust overtakes the desires. There's also a huge difference in the words "holding and abode." Holding denotes clinging to something, where "abode" means living in something. It's these kinds of Christians as this lady believers herself to be, that is the reason Christians of today don't have a clue to reality concerning the truth of the word of God. The words "of his own" carries the context of having within "Iniquity".]

Satan can only speak one language...the language of lies. [FALSE! This too comes from a weak milk toast baby Christian. We know from Genesis that Satan can tell the truth when it benefits his lust. NOTE: The two scriptures! In Genesis 3:5 Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, {Truth in respect to knowing Good and Evil} and ye shall be as gods, {A misleading but not necessarily a lie statement} knowing good and evil. [TRUTH, verified by God Himself in verse 22(a) Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil. Therefore, Satan does and can tell the truth when it benefits his purposes.] of the same chapter which reads: He is incapable of speaking the truth at all. [EXTREMELY FALSE] Jesus says that there is no truth left in him, and that all started with Adam and Eve in the garden. [WRONG, ALL started in heaven before the heavenly WAR broke out. Here again, we see a limited knowledge portraying itself as knowledge Satan loves these kinds of Christians.]

Satan's power will not last.

Satan had a glorious beginning to his life. [TRUE] You can read about his past [NO his PRESENT] in Isaiah 14:12-14 [WRONG! These verses carry no "glory" what-so-ever but describe the SIN of coveting which is condemned in the tenth Commandment of God. They speak nothing at all of any of Lucifer's turned Satan glorious beginning. They speak of Satans fall NOT his glorious beginning. This lady does more harm than good so I'll pray for her. Here is what the verses she used say: Isa 14:12-14 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.] and Ezekiel 28:13-19. Satan was beautiful, but pride got to his head and he was kicked out of heaven. [Only three of the verses she uses in the above scripture speaks of any "attributes" of Lucifer Ezekiel 28:12-15 only. The rest of the given verses by this lady speaks of Lucifer turned Satan' fall and ultimate demise. PRIDE played NO PART in Lucifer's sin, COVETING God's Throne however did and that because of fostered INIQUITY.] that Despite him once being someone in God's favor, he now faces eternal judgment. [WRONG! Verses 18,19 of her suggested reading in Ezekiel 28 denotes Satans total eradication by God there's NOTHING eternal about it. I have great sympathy for these kinds of misleading individuals who surface read the word of God and think themselves servants of God.] In Revelation 20:10 it says "And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. [Yet she cannot tell you who the "beast" and the "false prophet" are.] They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever." [I, without doubt, know she doesn't understand her last statement here of "tormented day and night for ever and ever".] Satan knows that his end awaits him. [This statement contradicts her previous statement of being "tormented day and night for ever and ever" NOW she adits to the "END" of Satan. This is atypical of an unlearned person in the scripture] His goal, therefore, is to take as many Christians as he can down with him (Matthew 25:41). [I have to ask you, wherein this verse does the word "Christian" appear? Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. [The verse is speaking of the WICKED not Christians. This is what is called "twisting scripture" friends.] We can make sure he doesn't reach his goals by promoting the gospel and sharing Jesus with others. [Take NOTE: She says "We can make sure" this is NOT giving any glory what-so-ever to God. When it's "WE" it not of God. This is the same mindset of the sons of Sceva who thought just invoking the name of Jesus Christ would somehow give them POWER over Satan.]

OK AFTER READING THE REST OF HER ARTICLE, I FIND IT NOT WORTH MY FURTHER TIME DEBUNKING HER STATEMENTS. LET'S JUST SAY SHE DOESN'T HAVE A CLUE TO UNDERSTANDING. SHE IS PROBABLY EITHER A FAKE MINISTER AND IS CERTAINLY A FAKE BELIEVER AS HER IDEAS AND STATEMENTS IN THIS ARTICLE IDENTIFY. SHE DOESN'T HAVE A CLUE ABOUT WHAT SHE THINKS SHE KNOWS. JUST ENOUGH TO BE VERY DANGEROUS TO GOD'S CAUSE.

Satan is a thief.

In John 10:10 it says "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy..." Satan's priority is to steal your faith so that you never have a chance at salvation. He does not want people to know the truth about Jesus Christ. If he cannot have that, he will do whatever else he can to steal your vision, destroy your purpose, or strip your hearing. He wants to block you from being able to hear Christ in your heart. He will also do what he can to prevent you from spreading Christ to others by stealing your voice. But Satan can be beat! Continue to resist his urges and temptations and keep your heart and mind focused on God.

Satan is the "god" of the secular world.

Satan's influence is everywhere in modern society. The sinful condition of man thrives on it. People are blinded by their unbelief, making it easy for Satan to swoop in and influence others. These people are prisoners to their sin and do not even realize it. In 2 Corinthians 4:4 it says "Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don't understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God." The architect behind all sins is Satan. He wants people to stay confused, blinded, and trapped in the destruction he created.

You have power against Satan. [FALSE]

It can be scary to hear about all the power and influence that Satan has. You, though, already have what you need to overcome him with ease. [It is NOT us who overcomes Satan, but the Spirit of God working in you does the overcoming. YOU as an individual can do NOTHING towards your salvation. Any good work you think you may do is tainted with SIN because of your sinful nature. Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.] Satan can attack and wage war against you. He can bring all the forces of darkness, but he can't overtake you unless you allow it. In John 4:4 it says "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." God has positioned you in the earth for this exact moment in time. He has equipped you and filled you with His Holy Spirit. Satan is weak against Christ!

As you continue your Christian journey, be aware that Satan is always following you and trying to disrupt you path. [If Satan is following YOU, then he must not be concerned with anyone else, however, it's NOT you that Satan follows. He follows i.e. monitors the entire world.] Christ, though, has given you the power to fight off Satan's attacks. [Jesus doesn't give anyone POWER to fight against Satan. It's Jesus Himself that combats Satan. YOU HAVE NO POWER in and of yourself to stand against the FALLEN ANGEL.] Push back against his powers of darkness and spread the light of God. The world desperately needs it.
